Today, I'm reviewing a short story, which is a bit unusual, but I thought it was such a cute, clean Christmas read and worth the share.

Blurb: It's Christmas Eve, 2014, and thirteen-year-old Shirley is listening to the same bedtime story she's heard every year.

This year, she comes face to face with the frivolity fairies from the tale; naughty, careless creatures who cause mischief with no regard to morality.

In a tale of Christmas spirit, magic, and happy endings, find out what happens when one little girl sets out to make things right.

My thoughts: I really enjoyed this actual fairy tale that took the idea of captivating children to another level. The story is written as a frame (story within a story) which enhances the experience by allowing readers to learn about the characters when they were young and old.

I thought the idea of this tale was refreshing. I first set out to find a young adult Christmas story and found this one when browsing. I must admit, the beautiful cover drew me in immediately. In the sea of adult Holiday Romances, I thought this was a nice find. There aren't many YA fantasy Christmas tales out there.

The Frivolity Fairies can be read in one sitting, which is also great during this busy season.

It's currently available FREE on Amazon.
