Katie Coughran’s How to Be a Minimalist with Kids is packed with helpful tips to not only rid yourself of excess stuff but also how to minimize your life in other ways. I love that she spends time addressing how to mentally de-stress by removing things/obligations that don’t bring you joy. I particularly found the Burn Book idea and the calendar dots helpful. I’ll definitely be incorporating these into my life.
It’s refreshing to read a book where the author shares her ideas but encourages you to find what works best for you and your family. She was wonderful about making sure readers know that YOUR form of minimalism may not look like anyone else’s and that’s okay. This lifestyle is more about creating freedom than creating perfection.
Highly recommended for everyone who’s interested in living a simpler more fulfilling life.
