Vanessa K. Eccles has had a writer’s spirit since before she could write. She won her first short story contest and the age of six. She has devoted years to developing her skill and love for writing. Her love of literature inspired her to found Belle Reve Literary Journal, where she currently serves as executive editor.

She spent a year interning with Deep South Magazine where she edited and scheduled publication dates for short stories and poetry. She completed her first novel Georgia in 2009 and is currently working on a paranormal romance entitled Realm of Desire and her first YA novel Tales.
She graduated in 2012 with an English degree from Troy University - Dothan. She plans on continuing her education and studies in English as a graduate student soon, but she is taking time now to focus on her writing. She lives on Lake Eufaula with her husband and their three dogs: Frank, Coco, and Honey.
